This work was created during GW Bush’s build up to the Iraq war. Inspired by the Intricate arabesques and interwoven patterns of Islamic design, I used machine and hand embroidery on used army blankets as a call toward the essential humanness of the nature of the enemy. Prayer flags hang across the ceiling made from targets and military imagery with Tibetan prayer iconography and colors. Om mani padme hum
